For the third time, the Alma Mater Europaea Dance Academy had its own dance section within the Conference All About People. In relation to the COVID-19 situation and life in physical isolation, we have decided to address the post-postmodern paradigm of digimodernism and named our section Dance and Dance Education in a Digital Environment: All the World’s a Stage, referring to Shakespeare`s famous saying, since dance and dance education have moved from ordinary dance venues to a digital environment.

We hosted three distinguished keynote speakers Tarek Assam, Darrel Toulon and Dr. Risima Risimkin who discussed dance and dance education in the new circumstances and after them other participants presented their papers.

Proceedings Book of the Dance Section of the 9th Conference All About People

The President of the Croatian Society of Professional Ballet Artists, Dr. Svebor Sečak as part of the manifestation Days of Moscow in Zagreb held a masterclass with selected dancers of the Zagreb Ballet before prominent guests led by the renowned ballet artist Andris Liepa who expressed great pleasure with what he has seen. He gave several corrections to the dancers and held a lecture on ballet Firebird (Stravinsky – Fokin) after which he showed this movie recorded in 1993 with Liepa in the leading mail role.

      

Svebor Sečak was the reviewer and moderator of the Dance section of the 7th International Scientific Conference All About People: Future Fit that was held on March 16, 2019 in Maribor, Slovenia. There were 29 presentations in the areas of contemporary dance, ballet, community dances, etc. on the theme Tradition and Contemporaneity in Dance Art and Education. Themes were addressed from anthropological, theoretical-analytical, educational and other perspectives.
